Law enforcement officers head into UNLV campus after reports of an active shooter in Las Vegas

State police were deployed to the University of New Hampshire and Dartmouth College due to illegal activity and at the request of local law enforcement, as confirmed by the New Hampshire Department of Safety. The deployment was in response to ongoing incidents of unlawful actions and clear violations of both schools' policies.

According to Tyler Dumont, a spokesman for the New Hampshire Department of Safety, troopers worked collaboratively throughout the evening to ensure the safety of individuals participating in First Amendment gatherings. Those who were engaged in unlawful activities were taken into custody and are currently being processed by the University of New Hampshire Police Department and the Hanover Police Department.

Dumont emphasized that the New Hampshire State Police are dedicated to protecting the constitutional rights of Granite Staters while also ensuring accountability for those who violate the law.
