How much is the state pension forecast to rise in 2027? Check here

  • The UK state pension is projected to rise by 3.9 per cent next April following the latest average wage growth figures.
  • Office for National Statistics data shows average weekly wages grew by 3.9 per cent between May and July.
  • Under the triple lock rule, the state pension increases by the highest of wage growth, inflation, or 2.5 per cent.
  • A 3.9 per cent increase would lift the full new state pension by around £9.40 to approximately £250.70 per week, leaving pensioners about £489 better off each year.
  • The Department for Work and Pensions will formally confirm the final payment rates during the Autumn Statement after September inflation data is published.
