Paul Clement has explained the conversation which brought him to Everton at the end of January and opened up on how his relationship with Frank Lampard has developed over time.
The first team coach made the move to Merseyside alongside the club's new boss over two months ago following the sacking of Rafael Benitez earlier in the year. The new staff instantly got to work in trying to reshape the Blues squad and get them back up the Premier League table, to varying results thus far.
Looking back on the decision to make the move to Everton, Clement admitted that he didn't have to think long when Lampard gave him the call. His respect for Lampard paired with the history of the Blues means it was an easy decision.
