Drivers are being urged not to clean dead bugs and insects splattered on their car's licence plate this summer.
That's according to the annual Bugs Matter survey, who need help counting the UK's dwindling insect population which has reduced as much as 64% in the last 20 years.
The survey, which runs from June 1 to August 31, asks people to count the number of bugs on their licence plate in a bid to help understand the challenges the UK's insect population is facing.
