A Brooklyn seafood distributor is recalling one lot of Starfish Seafood Trio, a ready-to-eat pack of cold-smoked salmon, halibut, and trout, because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall notice posted by the FDA on Oct. 9 says the product was distributed in New York, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina and South Carolina.
No illnesses have been reported. The problem was identified by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, and the distributor, Krasnyi Oktyabr Inc., says it is cooperating with that agency and the FDA.
