Stagecoach bus cancels services due to illness and driver availability

A shortage of drivers is affecting Stagecoach services in south Wales. Several bus services in Cwmbran, Newport and Blaenavon were "unable to operate" on Monday.

And the company has said that the issues are down to a "short-team staffing situation". The firm added that plans were in place to recruit more staff and get them trained as quickly as possible.

On Monday, the company said the X24 services will be unable to operate the 12.20pm Cwmbran to Newport service, 12.45pm Newport to Blaenavon, 1.48pm Blaenavon to Newport, 3pm Newport to Blaenavon, and 4.06pm Blaenavon - Cwmbran.
