Stage neutralised at Tour of Britain Women due to road traffic accident on route

Riders at the start of stage two of the Tour of Britain Women.

Stage two of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women was neutralised for an hour on Thursday due to a road traffic accident further up the race route.

The stage was stopped with 73.5km to go, as the riders approached the summit of the second climb of the day, Nick o' Pendle, where Uno-X Mobility's Katrine Aalerud led solo with a 50-second advantage.
