Staff at a Nottingham industrial estate rushed out to safety after a fire broke out. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue crews were called to the scene of the blaze at a unit at the Blenheim Industrial Estate in Bulwell at around 11am on Wednesday, June 28.
Fire crews from Stockhill, Arnold, Eastwood and Highfields attended Wilson Drive Shaft Ltd on Blenheim Industrial Estate. Everybody on the site was evacuated whilst crews worked to put out the fire.
John Mills, station manager, said the fire was now "totally out" by around 1pm. "We were called at 11am, four pumps from Highfields, Stockhill, Arnold and Eastwood."

He said the "significant fire" happened at Wilson Drive Shaft, a metal works manufacturers. "A couple of staff were in at the time but they got out without injuries," he said.
"We're going to revisit and offer businesses fire safety support. The estate will be back to normal shortly." Michael Barker, who runs Supa Snacks, a burger van situated outside the industrial unit, said he was forced to evacuate the area.
"I saw some flames and people running out," he recalled. "I had to reverse and vacate the area quickly. I saw the flames and carried on serving here.
"But then I heard popping and banging and I knew I had to go. Customers were running away. It's sad because they've been here a long while. I've been here for about 25 years."
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said earlier on: “I can confirm we are at an industrial fire at Blenheim Industrial Estate in Bulwell. Stockhill, Arnold, Eastwood and Highfields are in attendance.
“Everybody on the site has been evacuated. We are working with partners at the moment just to contain the fire so if people can avoid the area.”
