When the temperature shoots up like it has this week, it can be a struggle to get to sleep.

But that doesn't change how important it is to get a good night's rest.

So parents everywhere are left with difficult questions. How can you get children to settle before bedtime? And how can you help them to doze off?

Luckily, Stacey Solomon has come to the rescue.

The Loose Women star, 32, has shared a brilliant tip for getting heads on pillows that she uses to help her own kids.

And the simple hack is one all parents will want to know, as the heatwave continues.

Not only will it lead to lots of laughs, but it is perfect for busy families, like Stacey's, who are just days away from one of the most anticipated weddings of the summer.

So how do Stacey and Joe Swash, 40, prepare their adorable kids for a good night's sleep? They boogie.

Although it might sound counterintuitive to dance when it is hot, it can be a great way to tire out little feet without working up a sweat.

And it comes with the added bonus of being lots of fun.

Tried and tested by Stacey's family, the proud mum-of-four shared the tip back in 2020.

Taking to Instagram at the time, she revealed Joe was attempting to tire out Rex, then one, with an energetic dance in front of the TV before bed.

And despite the heatwave, the trick worked a charm.

The relieved mum then shared a snap showing her family dozing, before she headed off to enjoy a cooling bath.

Luckily, the relaxing end to the day can be shared by parents everywhere.

If your little ones are still struggling with the heat, there are also lots of other tips you can try, such as giving them a luke-warm bath.

And for parents, Stacey recommends chilling your pillowcase in the freezer.
