Stacey Solomon says she 'can't function' as she gives update on being mum-of-five

Stacey Solomon has admitted that she 'can't function' as she gave an update on being a mum-of-five weeks after her daughter's birth. The Sort Your Life Out host gave birth to her third child with her husband Joe Swash last month.

The loved-up couple, who wed in a stunning intimate ceremony in the garden of their family home back in July, surprised fans before Christmas when they announced at eight months pregnant they were preparing to welcome another pickle, Stacey's nickname for her children, into the world.

Their second daughter, who they later announced they had named Belle, was born on February 7 with the 33-year-old saying their baby girl "literally flew" into the world as she gave birth at home, dubbed Pickle Cottage.

Since then, Stacey has been giving updates on her new life as a mother-of-five, as she dotes on Belle, one-year-old Rose and Rex, three, with Joe as well as her older sons Leighton and Zachary from her previous relationships. Joe is also a proud dad to his teenage son, Harry, who he shares with ex-fiancee Emma Sophocleous.

On Sunday night, after being relatively quiet on her social media pages, Stacey took to Instagram with a photo of herself cradling her five-week-old daughter as she got ready to try and get some shut-eye. The Loose Women star, who was dressed in a matching grey tracksuit gave a wry smile to the camera as her daughter stretched out in her arms in a white baby grow.

"I managed to express four ounces through today," Stacey penned alongside an emotional face emoji. "So me and Belle are having an early night and daddy is taking over the 2am feed and hopefully we feed again at 5/6." She went on to say: "Honestly, I can't function at the moment [cyring laughing emoji].

"So I'm excited to hopefully not feel like a zombie tomorrow. Happy Sunday everyone. Lots of love from us," she added. It comes after she didn't hold back when she was quizzed on how she is managing to juggle three children under three.

Appearing on Instagram last Wednesday evening (March 8), Stacey shared a screenshot of a message she received from a mum-of-three asking her how she keeps it together. They said they too had a six-week-old daughter and was 'soaking up' the precious time but is also juggling a nine-year-old and a 15-month-old.

Sort Your Life Out host Stacey replied via an Instagram Story video, saying: "Public service announcement for anyone who's ever felt like ‘oh my gosh, it looks like they’ve got their sh*t together and I really haven’t’, please don’t feel like that. You’re doing an incredible job."

She added: "I know it looks like I’ve gone straight back to normal as if I never gave birth – it feels like that, if I’m honest – but it’s only because the whole sleep when she sleeps, make sure you take time to rest and recover, don’t do anything too quickly goes all out the window when you have a one-year-old.

"It’s incredible this age gap: three, one and zero, I’m so grateful to have three young babies that I can raise together and can grow up together. I’m honestly so grateful. But I can assure you that 100% of the time, I feel absolutely f***ed." She then went on to laugh: "You're not alone."

Stacey then wrote alongside the clip: "Just a PSA that you’re doing amazing. Rest up if you can. You deserve it. And never forget that although it seems I'm doing lots with 3 babies at 3, 1 & 1 month. I'm so grateful to be raising them all together BUT just know 100% of the time I feel f**ked," and added a crying laughing emoji.
