Stacey Solomon joins tributes to Loose Women star Brenda Edwards' son Jamal

Stacey Solomon has added her voice to those paying tribute to businessman Jamal Edwards who tragically passed away on Sunday.

The 32-year-old mum-of-four works with Jamal’s mother, Brenda, who is a fellow panelist on Loose Women – which the tragic SB.TV founder occasionally featured on.

The entertainment world was shocked on Sunday when it was revealed that Jamal had passed away at the age of 31 following a short illness.

Taking to Instagram on Monday morning, Stacey shared a photo of Jamal on her Stories feed along with a heartfelt message about the late star.

She wrote: “One of the greatest, kindest, most sincere and humble people I ever had the pleasure of meeting.

“Just devastating.”

She added: “My thoughts and prayers are with Brenda, Tanisha and all of Jamal’s loved ones.”

Fellow Loose Women star Denise Welch had earlier paid tribute to Jamal, writing online: "My heart aches for my friend Brenda. I can’t bear it. Jamal Edwards was a wonderful son and brother."

The official Loose Women Instagram account has also paid tribute to Jamal, sharing a photo of him say on the show’s famous desk alongside his mother.

They wrote: “After the devastating death of Jamal, our thoughts are with Brenda today.”

Holly Willoughby paid tribute to the star on Monday’s This Morning, saying on air: "An incredible, short-lived life which seemed to fit so much in and seemed to touch so many other people's lives."

Earlier on Monday, 52-year-old Brenda – who had been a contestant on The X Factor back in 2005 and joined the panel of Loose Women in 2019 – shared a statement about her son’s shock death.

The statement read: "It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness.

“Myself, his sister Tanish and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.

"As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.

"Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD."

Heartbroken fans have been flocking to social media to express their shock and sadness in tributes to Jamal.

One Instagram fan wrote: "Thank you for everything you have done for all of us. You will be missed. Rest in perfect peace."

And another wrote: “Can’t believe it. Jamal. Rest in power. Deepest condolences to your loved ones.”

In a final post before his shock death, entrepreneur Jamal had shared a photo of himself alongside Ed Sheehan – who he discovered and helped launch to global stardom.

Wishing the chart topper a happy birthday, Jamal wrote: "Happy Birthday to the OG, Ed. Blessed to have you in my life brother. You know you've been mates a long time when you lose count on the years! Keep smashing it & inspiring us all G!"
