Stacey Solomon's fans were left bewildered as she revealed her morning routine on social media before begging fans not to judge her.
The Loose Women star, 32, went on to admit her direct messages had been bombarded by fans who couldn't believe what they had witnessed.
While Stacey is known for sharing her life with her millions of followers, the mum-of-four hadn't anticipated the response she would receive while getting ready for her day.
Taking to her Instagram account in view of her 5.4 million followers, the outspoken starlet was seen brushing her teeth as she apologised to fans for her lack of interaction.
"I just wanted to come on here while I'm rushing around for this shoots to say sorry about how rubbish I've been," she said.
Stacey continued: "As soon as this crazy week is out of the way I can do some fun stuff."
But she went on to share another video with a message from one follower reading: "Stacey you didn't just swallow your toothpaste, did you?"
"Oh my God, my inbox. Don't judge me...." the star who found fame on The X Factor responded.
She continued: "I did. I had a moment of realisation where I was like 'I definitely can't spit this out', I'm going to have to eat it, I'm sorry, I was just trying to do 500 things at once and I'm rubbish at it, my breakfast this morning is toothpaste!"
However, it appears Stacey's morning routine could be harmful as swallowing fluoride toothpaste can lead to an upset stomach or more serious symptoms could be nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea.
Fluoride is essential when it comes to hardening the enamel on our teeth which becomes more resistant to acids that can later cause cavities.
By refraining from instantly spitting the toothpaste from your mouth, you are allowing the fluoride to work harder which will contribute to a healthier set of teeth - but you still shouldn't swallow.
Real Housewives of Cheshire's Dr Hanna Kinsella, who runs her own dental surgery said one important way to protect your pearly whites is the way you brush them.
The reality star said: "Instead of brushing teeth aggressively with a hard grip - which can be a natural response - try to hold your toothbrush at the very end and use a grip as if you’re holding a pen.
"This will reduce pressure to the brush and the teeth, therefore protecting them from damage. All of these things can contribute to whiter teeth!"
