Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash wedding details as countdown to date begins

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are getting ready to tie the knot this month. The Loose Women star and former EastEnders actor are set to get married in July 2022 after postponing their original wedding date.

The couple, who have both previously won I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2020. They share two children together, three-year-old Rex and Rose, who was born on Stacey's birthday in October 2021.

Back in April last year, Joe landed himself in hot water when he shared their wedding date live on Loose Women. After being quizzed on the details by Eamonn Holmes, Stacey quipped: "You wouldn't know the date even if you were allowed to say."

To Stacey's surprise, Joe did know the date and happily shared it live on Loose Women. "Yes I do," he quipped back, before adding: "The date is going to be the last Sunday in July."

A shocked Stacey threw her hands in the air and shouted: "Oh my god, why did I bring you here? Fantastic, good stuff." However, the pair later revealed they were expecting a baby and were pushing their wedding date back so their daughter could be there. You can read more on this here.

So when is Stacey and Joe's wedding? Here's everything we know.

The countdown is officially on as Stacey has confirmed that the pair will be getting married at the end of July. The 32-year-old has done much of the wedding DIY details herself and in a recent update shared some information.

She told her 5.3 million followers on July 1: "Wedding Door done. This will forever be my favourite door of all time… I can not believe it’s already July. And we are getting married at the end of the month. Happy July Everyone. Love you all."

She added: "I can't believe it's actually happening."

The couple's stunning home, affectionately called Pickle Cottage, is the chosen wedding venue. Back in April, the former X Factor star gave fans a glimpse of the aisle she'll be walking down, which featured a huge outdoor walkway under a canopy of trees, leaves, and flowers.

She said: "This morning I have to meet with the caterers, florists and everyone in between because I almost forgot we are getting married in three months time.

"We are on the last part now. The aisle. And my sister just put a load of candles in my kitchen jars at the bottom where we are going to stand and I am crying. My whole stomach is turning over. And for some reason I'm so nervous."

Since then Stacey has shared many wedding details with fans as she transforms her Essex mansion into a romantic wedding setting. After recently decorating her door, Stacey explained: "Something old - the horseshoes we found in Pickle Cottage when we moved in. Something new - the Mr & Mrs sign. Something borrowed - @emlouflowers leant me some of her beautiful white roses and eucalyptus. Something blue - the sky as we finished it."

She also transformed her pergola, giving it a "wedding glow up" for the big event. Sharing before and after pictures, Stacey explained: "When I went on my hen do to Greece I fell in love with the bougainvillea and all of the white walls and beautiful surroundings.

"We want to have a family breakfast after the wedding under the pergola so, we decided to paint the pergola white and @emlouflowers found the most perfect pink flowers and we spent yesterday making our Greek wedding breakfast set up come true."

Stacey chose her wedding dress back in April after trying on bridal gowns at her home. She told her followers: "Today I Choose My Wedding Dress and I never want to forget this feeling… I've been putting it off I think because the more I got excited about it the more silly I felt for some reason… I started feeling really conscious about not being, well I don’t know.

"I wouldn’t have done life any other way EVER. I’m so grateful for how it turned out and I genuinely believe everything happens for a reason. But I suppose sometimes those old fashioned narratives make you feel that way don’t they?

"I decided to try my dresses on, at home with just me not making a 'thing' of it. But it turns out it felt like the hugest 'thing' ever. My sister dropped the kids back from school and popped up and we both ended up emotional messes. I loved every single second of today, trying them on, imagining seeing Joe for the first time, feeling the veil on my shoulders & seeing the glitter sparkle as I moved around."

She added: "None of these are THE dress but I took this picture to remember how excited I felt today. And no matter who, how or what way around you do it, it’s the most special moment ever."

Stacey tagged Verona Bridal in the post, suggesting that she'd chosen a dress from the store. Stacey's dress will also have a link to her daughter, whose outfit will be made from the off-cuts of Stacey's gown.

Sharing videos of herself sticking sparkling bows to a tiny pair of shoes, Stacey penned: "Rose's dress is being made from the off-cuts of my dress. So I wanted to make her some shoes to match mine.

"So I bought the glittery bows from Etsy and stuck them on her baby shoes. Now we fully match." The video then panned to show Stacey's shoes, a pointed-toe pair with a glittering bow on the front and just as sparkly ankle straps.

Stacey Solomon's wedding guest list

Stacey and Joe have five kids between them, all of whom will play a special part at their wedding.

The couple are proud parents to baby Rose and toddler Rex, while Stacey has sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from previous relationships, and Joe has son Harry.

Revealing her plans, Stacey said: "We’ve got four boys and they will all just be our page boys. We didn’t want to make one the best man or give one a special role. But I would like them all to walk me down the aisle with my dad."

The family's dogs, Peanut and Teddy will also have a role with Stacey admitting they're having suits and bow ties made for them. Stacey said: "I made a wedding planning book and a whole double page is dedicated to the dogs." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
