Stacey Giggs made a cryptic reference about her ex-boyfriend Max George, days after it emerged he had gone on holiday with Strictly star Maisie Smith.
The former WAG, 43, didn't hold back as she took to Instagram to share a sweet snap with her children in Portugal, joking she had "shifted a lead weight from round your neck" following her break-up with The Wanted singer, 33.
It came in response to Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley's comment: "You look 21" - in seeming reference to former EastEnders actress Maisie's age.
In reply, Stacey said: "'What happens when you shift a lead weight from round your neck [laughing emoji]".
Looking super stylish on her getaway, mum Stacey donned a green miniskirt and matching heels as she struck a pose with her two kids, Liberty, 19, and Zachary, 15.
She captioned it with the words: “Through thick and thin! Love you both” followed by a love heart emoji.
Her defiant message comes a day after she reportedly accused The Wanted star Max of doing the dirty on her.
Max and Maisie met on the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
But things are thought to have turned romantic between them during the Strictly Live tour, which kicked off in January this year.
Stacey recently dumped Max, who she had dated since 2018, after allegedly accusing the singer of cheating on her.
The Sun claims Stacey confided in a pal, saying: "I asked him about her but he denied anything had happened.
"He said he was like an uncle to Maisie."
Now Stacey has reportedly told friends that seeing them enjoy a romantic break together is like a “dagger to the heart”.
Although neither side has officially confirmed the relationship, Max and Maisie were said to be "all over each other" on a recent flight from Manchester to Crete.
Both posted similar holiday snaps to their Instagram accounts but were careful not to mention each other.
Stacey is said to have told pals: “After everything I’ve done for him, I cannot believe he would be so rude and disrespectful. He’s a lying dog. I feel betrayed.”
he friend goes on to claim Stacey doesn't "recognise the person" Max has become and feels her ex-boyfriend "has become obsessed with fame".
The Mirror has approached representatives for both Max and Stacey for comment.
