Former BBC Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey Dooley has brushed off speculation that she is engaged to partner Kevin Clifton.
The 34-year-old journalist and broadcaster has spoken about her relationship with former Strictly professional dancer Kevin, 39, who announced he was leaving the hit BBC dancing competition in 2020.
While appearing on BBC's The One Show, where she was talking about her latest BBC One documentary series on stalkers, Stacey was quizzed by Lauren Laverne and Jermaine Jenas about whether she and Kevin have an announcement to make, after showing a picture of their home last year decorated in balloons and dinner tables set out.
Stacey and Kevin got together in early 2019 after dancing together and winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
Asking the former Glow Up host, Lauren said: "This was all done last year when the restrictions allowed. Stacey, we mentioned you were a BBC Strictly Come Dancing winner... you took home the Glitterball Trophy with the love of your life, Kevin.
"You don't have an announcement that you are building towards? Would we be the first to know?" Lauren added.
"You would absolutely be the first to know," said Stacey, adding: "But no, I'm so dull. No, I'm not getting married."
She then addressed fellow guest Jay Blades, saying: "But I'll hook you up Jay, I'll sort Jay out."
Jay said: "Thank you, that would be nice."
It has previously been reported that Stacey is unsure on marriage and speaking on her W show, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over in 2021, she said: "Kev and I have been together for two years. I don’t think I want to get married. I think I’d be more interested in starting a family than getting married."
BBC's The One Show airs weeknights on BBC One from 7pm.
