Stab thug attacked bride-to-be wearing penis costume on hen night

An out-of-control yob attacked a bride-to-be on her hen night, stabbing the the inflatable penis costume she was wearing.

Ronald McKinnon struck Laura Inglis' outfit multiple times as she celebrated ahead of her marriage to Jill Hutchinson.

The 23-year-old was in Eaglesham Pavilion and Playing Fields when the drama unfolded, the Daily Record reports.

McKinnon charged towards Laura, stabbing at her costume with a "sharp implement" on June 21 last year.

The shaken former striker with 2021 Scottish Women's Football League winners Bishopton Ladies, called police and the thug was arrested.

McKinnon, 27, from Eaglesham, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court last month and pled guilty to culpable and reckless conduct by stabbing Laura's costume.

Sentencing was adjourned at the time for reports and McKinnon was due to return to the dock this week, but he did not attend. The case was continued until next month to give McKinnon another chance.

Earlier this year, Saltire Digital Media, the company behind Bishopton Ladies' social media, posted on Facebook: "Laura Inglis leaves Bishopton FC Ladies after five years with the club, to start her new life in America with Jill.
