St Mirren midfielder Cammy MacPherson seals switch to St Johnstone for undisclosed fee

Midfielder Cammy MacPherson has swapped St Mirren for St Johnstone after sealing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Perthshire club.

The 23-year-old spent his entire youth career with the Buddies, having come through the academy to break into the first team.

He fell out of favour with Jim Goodwin, sealing a loan move with Callum Davidson's side earlier this season.

And having agreed a pre-contract deal with St Johnstone, the two clubs have now agreed a fee to allow the midfielder to move permanently to McDiarmid Park.

The deal also includes a potential sell-on fee clause.

A St Mirren spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we have reached an agreement with St Johnstone for the immediate transfer of Cammy MacPherson.

"Cammy - who initially joined the Perth Saints on loan in August - signs for Callum Davidson's side for an undisclosed fee with a potential future sell-on fee percentage.

"A St Mirren Academy graduate, the 23-year-old made his St Mirren debut in 2017 at the age of 18 and went on to make 93 appearances in the black and white scoring five goals.

"We thank Cammy for his contributions during his time at St Mirren and wish him all the best for the future."
