St Mirren have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace for Killian Phillips who will sign on loan with an obligation to buy, according to a report.
The 22-year-old Irishman will return to the premiership after joining Aberdeen on loan halfway through last season.
After joining Palace from Drogheda United in Ireland, he also had loan spells at Shrewsbury and Wycombe before his first spell in Scotland.
The Daily Record claims the deal sees Phillips join on an initial yearlong loan before the option to buy adds another two years, keeping him at Paisley till 2027.
Stephen Robinson has had an eye on the player for a while after he was able to lead St Mirren back into European qualifiers this season.
If all goes well, we could see Phillips make his debut on Sunday against current champions Celtic.
Robinson hopes to continue to strengthen the saints before the window closes however, we could also see their youngsters head out on loan as well.
