St. Louis Blues forward Dylan Holloway had a frightening moment during a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning but fortunately appears to have escaped serious injury.

During the game, Holloway was struck in the neck by a puck, leading to him leaving the ice on a stretcher. However, he was back at the team's practice facility the following day and expressed feeling much better.

Reflecting on the incident, Holloway mentioned that although he initially felt something was off after being hit, he couldn't resist the opportunity to continue playing. It was only upon reaching the bench that he started feeling woozy and had trouble recollecting events until he found himself on the stretcher.

Medical personnel from both teams attended to Holloway immediately, and he was subsequently taken to a St. Louis area hospital. Following evaluation, he was discharged late Tuesday night with instructions to avoid physical activity for 24 hours.

Blues coach Drew Bannister expressed cautious optimism about Holloway's potential return to the lineup for the upcoming game against Utah, emphasizing the need to monitor his condition day by day.

Despite the scare, Holloway found solace in having his parents, Bruce and Torrie, present at the game. Their support and presence provided comfort to him during the ordeal and subsequent hospital visit.

While recovering, Holloway stayed updated on the game's progress through score updates from his mother. The Blues managed to stage a comeback from a 1-0 deficit to secure a 3-2 victory over Tampa Bay.

As Holloway continues his recovery process, the team and fans alike are relieved that the incident did not result in a more severe outcome, and they eagerly await his potential return to the ice.
