DAVID WOTHERSPOON has landed a dream Canada call-up for the World Cup in Qatar.
The St Johnstone legend has been named in John Herdman's 26-man squad ahead of the tournament getting underway next week.
Wotherspoon was pictured at Edinburgh Airport today as he jetted out to join his teammates before they get their Group F campaign underway.
Canada will take on Belgium, Croatia and Morocco in the group stages as they prepare for their first World Cup in 36 years.
Saints midfielder Wotherspoon battled back from an ACL injury to book his spot in the Canadian squad for the tournament.
The 32-year-old will be hoping to strut his stuff against the likes of Luca Modric, Kevin de Bruyne and Eden Hazard.
