After impressing one and all with his recent film, ‘RRR’, SS Rajamouli has now confirmed the sequel of the Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer.
At a recent event in Chicago, the filmmaker confirmed that he and his father, Vijayendra Prasad, are currently working on the second instalment of "RRR."The director also added that his father has been the story writer for all his films and he is working on the story for ‘RRR 2’.
‘RRR’, which marked the return of SS Rajamouli as a director after the smashing success of ‘Baahubali’ films, is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). Its cast includes Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, and Ray Stevenson, among others. I
The film did a record-breaking business at the box office. However, it recently lost out to ‘Chhello Show’ as India’s official entry into Oscars 2023.However, the team has submitted the film to the Academy for consideration in all categories including-- Best Picture, Best Director (SS Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Best Supporting Actor (Ajay Devgn), Best Supporting Actress (Alia Bhatt) and more.
