SRH vs RCB: Who won yesterday’s IPL 2026 match? Result, highlights, points table & team standings update

Yesterday night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a batting masterclass to crush Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 55 runs in Match 67 of IPL 2026.

It was one of those classic IPL run-fests on paper, but SRH turned it into a one-sided show after posting a massive 255/4 in 20 overs. RCB tried hard in the chase but were always behind the game after that explosive SRH batting display.

SRH Batting Domination: Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan & Klaasen Go Full Attack Mode

SRH’s innings yesterday night was pure T20 chaos in the best way. Abhishek Sharma came out firing, smashing 56 off just 22 balls with five sixes and four boundaries, setting the tone right away.

Travis Head supported with a quick 26 off 16 balls, but the real control came when Ishan Kishan took charge with a stunning 79 off 46 deliveries, keeping SRH well ahead of the game.

Then Heinrich Klaasen absolutely finished things off in style, smashing 51 off just 24 balls. With Nitish Kumar Reddy adding an unbeaten 29 off 12, SRH stormed to a huge 255/4.

RCB Bowling Nightmare as SRH Keep Scoring Freely

For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it was a long night in the field yesterday. Every bowler went for runs, with none able to control SRH’s aggressive batting approach.

Rasikh Salam was the only one who had some success with two wickets, while Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya picked up one each. But overall, SRH just kept hammering runs all over the park without mercy.

RCB Chase Falls Short Despite Patidar and Iyer Resistance

Chasing 256 yesterday night was always going to be tough, but RCB started aggressively through Venkatesh Iyer, who smashed 44 off 19 balls to give a quick spark.

However, early wickets including Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal slowed things down badly, and the required rate kept climbing out of control.

Rajat Patidar tried to hold things together with a solid 56 off 39 balls, while Krunal Pandya stayed unbeaten on 41. Still, RCB ended on 200/4, well short of the target.

SRH Bowling Steps Up: Eshan Malinga Shines Under Pressure

Defending 255 yesterday night, SRH’s bowlers backed up their batters perfectly. Young pacer Eshan Malinga stood out with excellent figures of 2/33, keeping things tight when RCB were trying to counter-attack.

Sakib Hussain also chipped in with 1/31, and even Travis Head picked up a wicket as SRH controlled the game right through the second innings.

SRH Look Scary, RCB Need Quick Fixes

This win yesterday night shows just how destructive Sunrisers Hyderabad can be when their top order fires in sync. Anything above 250 suddenly feels achievable for them.

For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, though, it’s another painful reminder that their bowling attack is leaking far too many runs in crucial games.

SRH walk away with a huge confidence-boosting win, while RCB are left searching for answers as IPL 2026 moves deeper into the business end.

Brief scores:

Sunrisers Hyderabad 255/4 in 20 overs (Ishan Kishan 79, Abhishek Sharma 56, Heinrich Klaasen 51; Rasikh Salam 2-53) beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru 200/4 in 20 overs (Rajat Patidar 56, Venkatesh Iyer 44, Krunal Pandya 41 not out; Eshan Malinga 2-33) by 55 runs

IPL Points Table & Team Standings Update

As things stand in the current IPL 2026 points table, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are placed at the top with 18 points from 14 matches and the best Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.783 among the top teams. Gujarat Titans (GT) are second with the same 18 points but a lower NRR of 0.695, while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) sit third with 18 points and an NRR of 0.524. With all three teams tied on wins and losses, NRR has become the crucial factor deciding the final standings heading into the playoffs.
