Students around Scotland are eagerly waiting for exam results.
Tomorrow students will find out if their hard work has paid off as thousands will find out the results of their National 4, National 5, Higher or Advanced Higher qualifications. This is the first time since the pandemic that school students have had to sit exams.
Following the disruptive last couple of years, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) announced they would be grading them more generously.

What time will the Scottish exams be released?
Students across Scotland will receive their certificates in the morning on Tuesday August 9 2022. For those who have signed up for My SQA, they will be alerted via text or email on the same day with messages expected to arrive as early as 8:00am that morning.
How do you get your exam results?
Royal Mail will be delivering thousands of certificates on Tuesday morning and students can also receive them by text or email if they signed up to My SQA.
What support is there for SQA exam results?
If the student or parent/guardian needs support following the SQA exam results, you can contact the SQA support line on 0345 279 1000. There is also a candidate enquiry form on the SQA website.

For those going into higher education, Colleges Scotland, UCAS, and NUS can provide advice and support.
How to appeal SQA results
If your result does not seem right, you may be able to appeal it. If your final grade is lower than what has been estimated, you may be able to make an appeal directly to SQA, or through your school, college or training provider.
Students are encouraged to discuss the discrepancy between the estimated grade and the final grade with teachers/lecturers or centre staff. They will help determine whether the estimated grade and supporting evidence supports an appeal request.
