Tottenham supporters have been sending their heartfelt messages to Gareth Bale after the 33-year-old announced his retirement from international and club football.
Bale confirmed the news in a statement on Monday afternoon only a month after his World Cup exit with Wales in Qatar. The former Spurs man ends his career after over 550 appearances, scoring 186 goals and contributing with another 139 assists.
During his time in north London, Bale netted 72 goals in 237 appearances and earned a move to Real Madrid in 2013 after netting 21 times in the Premier League. The Welshman returned to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the 2020/21 season and made 34 appearances.

His time at Madrid came to an end in the summer after nine years before he made the move to the USA to help Los Angeles FC to their first ever MLS Cup in November. After his appearances in Qatar for the Wales national team, Bale has put any rumours to bed regarding his future with the confirmation of his retirement.
