Sprinkles Gelato in Bristol city centre closes down permanently

Sprinkles Gelato has closed its ice cream parlour for good in Bristol city centre. The former site on Millenium Promenade is the franchise's only site in the Bristol city centre.

The ice cream parlour chain is currently listed as "permanently closed" on Google. Pictures show the popular dessert franchise, which was open seven days a week, closed up. It is unclear whether the brand intends to reopen another site in the city to replace it.

Bristol's branch first opened near the harbourside back in 2017. At the time, managing director Sharif Ahmed said: "This will be our first store to open in the Bristol area and we’re looking forward to bringing the Sprinkles Gelato experience to this part of the country."

Sprinkles Gelato has nine sites in the South of England along with just one other in the West Midlands. The brand was founded by three brothers in Southampton who specialised in homemade desserts and gelato.

BristolLive has contacted Sprinkles Gelato for comment on the closure.
