It sounds more and more like the only chance the Pittsburgh Steelers will have outside linebacker T.J. Watt again this season is if the team makes a deep run in the playoffs. This means, for the time being, Pittsburgh is going to have to lean heavily on Nick Herbig and Markus Golden to try and fill that void.
Make no mistake, Herbig and Golden are not Watt. Watt is the best defensive player in the league and the frontrunner for Defensive Player of the Year. His 19 sacks lead the league and teams have to account for him on every play.
Pittsburgh is preparing to take on the Buffalo Bills and their talented quarterback Josh Allen. Who just so happens to be one of the most athletic quarterbacks in the NFL. Beating Allen is all about smart assignment football and keeping Allen contained so this will never be a one-man job.
