In what is unlikely to be a surprise to anyone, Liverpool has done an incredible job of hosting this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Festivities have been underway for weeks, with a EuroVillage set up at the city's famous Pier Head, and a whole schedule of events and activities in the build-up to tonight.
