Uri Geller has warned Vladimir Putin that he will use "mind power" to make nuclear missiles "backfire".
The self-proclaimed psychic known for spoon-bending in the noughties issued an eccentric statement to the Russian president, urging him not to launch nuclear weapons following the invasion of Ukraine in February.
Standing in front of a backdrop of the Kremlin dictator and a mushroom cloud, Geller said that Putin's plans and missiles would 'backfire' if launched.

The Express reports that speaking directly and pointing his finger to the camera, he said: “This is serious stuff and I have a warning for you, Putin. I urge you all to read my warning, all of you, and I am serious about it, very.” He also went on to cite concerns for Scotland where he owns Lamb Island off the East Lothian coast, near North Berwick, claiming a small nuke could eliminate around 200,000 people.
Geller then went on to talk about an extraordinary letter entitled 'This is a warning to Vladimir Putin', where he said that there were "forces far greater than you can imagine" which will intervene any plans of starting a nuclear war. The British-Israeli then asked readers to take '"five seconds out of your day to visualise a radiant, energetic force field" - which would 'deflect and turn back any nuclear warheads' deployed.
He wrote: “I am issuing this statement as a serious warning to you: If you resort to the use of nuclear weapons your plans and your missiles will backfire on you! I will use every last molecule of my mind power to prevent you from launching a nuclear attack!
"And I am calling on all the wonderful, peace-loving people of the world to join me. Please stop what you are doing right now and just take five seconds out of your day to visualise a radiant, energetic force field - like a dazzling, golden shield in the sky - that will deflect and turn back any nuclear warheads that Putin attempts to deploy!”
Geller added: “As well as harnessing this immense energy of all our combined mind power there are also forces far, far greater than you can imagine that I am sure will intervene to prevent you from starting a nuclear war. They are watching and waiting and they will stop you. Do not contemplate this dire course of action.
“Your mission control computers will crash, your navigation systems will fail and your missiles will malfunction!”
Geller then signed off: “You have been warned”.
