The first pages of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day script have been revealed, and they feature a link to Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
The script, revealed by Entertainment Weekly, features some fun annotations from the cast and crew, including director Destin Daniel Cretton.
At the end of the pages, as Peter Parker swings away, the VFX supervisor leaves a note to say "let's make sure the suit has wrinkles," which Cretton enthusiastically agrees with: "YES!!! New suit made by Peter, inspired by his encounter w/ Tobey's & Andrew's Spider-Men – Real fabric, seams, wrinkles."
It makes a lot of sense that Peter's new suit might be low-tech, as, since no one remembers him after Doctor Strange's spell in the No Way Home ending, Peter no longer has access to Stark tech. "No more Stark money or gadgets. All of his tech needs to have been made by Peter," reads another of Cretton's annotations.
"I can't say what happens, but I'm very, very excited about the movie," Cretton shared recently of the Marvel Phase 6 film. "I'm really excited with the small test screenings and how it's connecting with an audience. Of course, it's a big blockbuster, it's super fun, it's got all the heart and humor that you want from a Spider-Man movie. But, at its core, it's a movie about relearning how to connect with people, and I'm really excited to put it out in the world right now."
