The director of Spider-Man: Brand New Day has had an exceptional week, with his new film making $1bn (£742.3m) in just six days – but he’s also been left “heartbroken” by the cancellation of another Marvel project.
Earlier this month, Wonder Man – one of the best TV shows of the year – was cancelled by Disney+ despite being renewed for season two. Destin Daniel Cretton, who co-created the show with Andrew Guest, has now reflected on the unexpected news, hinting that the decision had nothing to do with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
