The Spice Girls have sparked fresh reunion speculation after reports claimed the band have agreed to be honoured with a commemorative coin.
According to reports, the 1990s pop group are set to join British music royalty including The Rolling Stones, Queen, George Michael and Shirley Bassey as part of the Royal Mint’s Music Legends series.
Launched in 2020, the collection has previously celebrated artists such as Queen, Elton John and David Bowie.
The move has been interpreted by fans as another strong hint that a comeback could be on the horizon, coming just days after the group reunited for an impromptu singalong at Victoria Beckham’s London home.
It is understood King Charles has approved the group’s inclusion in the series, with the Spice Girls expected to feature on £5 and £2 coins.
A source told The Sun: “All five of them agreed to it.”
The Standard has contacted representatives for the Spice Girls for comment.
Only Mel B was absent from last week’s gathering, as Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C joined Victoria in singing their 1998 hit Viva Forever.
The moment, captured on video, quickly went viral.
Despite not performing to a packed arena, the group delivered the song from the Beckhams’ dining room, watched by two members of the household’s catering staff through large glass doors.

Victoria’s son Cruz, 20, accompanied them on guitar, while his girlfriend Jackie Apostel sat nearby.
Mel B, however was noticeably absent. She is currently on honeymoon in Mauritius with her husband, Rory McPhee.
However, she has recently fuelled reunion rumours herself, publicly “liking” a fan comment about the band getting back together.
Fans were quick to react to the clip, joking that the catering staff had scored the most exclusive tickets in town.
“Love the staff in the background literally the most VIP tickets!!!!!” one wrote, while another added: “The ladies on the other side are all of us right now!”
Victoria, meanwhile, has continued to tease fans, recently sharing a clip of herself singing an acoustic version of one of the band’s biggest hits and reuniting with the group at Emma Bunton’s 50th birthday — adding yet more fuel to the reunion fire.
