MLS STRIKER JOINS FALKIRK
Falkirk have signed American striker Jacob Murrell from Major League Soccer side DC United.
The 22-year-old delivered four goals and five assists in 65 appearances for DC United.
Falkirk manager John McGlynn told the club’s website: “We’re delighted to get Jacob in. He’s a player we’ve been aware of for a wee while and one that we feel can bring something different to the group.
“He’s a big, strong boy; he’s 6ft 2in, but he’s also very mobile. He likes to get in behind, and he’s got a real eye for goal. He’s still only 22, so we think there’s a lot more to come from him as well.
“We’ve done a lot of work on him, watched a lot of footage and spoken to people about him, and everything we’ve heard in terms of his character has been really positive.”
