The 31-year-old, who appeared at the court via link from HMP Durham, carried out the offences on January 9.
He made a threat to kill a woman and also caused her actual bodily harm during an assault, the court heard.
John Hobley, prosecuting, said he also damaged property belonging to the woman, including furniture and fixtures.
Jane Waugh, defending, said Storey pleaded guilty to the charges on the basis he did not make any threats to children and that some property that was damaged belonged to him.
Storey will be sentenced next month, so that a pre-sentence report can be put together, as well as a psychiatric report.
Judge James Adkin, the Recorder of Durham, told Storey that the court would have to consider the "issue of dangerousness".
He added: "You will get a custodial sentence, and one of some length."
Storey, of Spennymoor, was remanded in custody until his sentencing on Thursday, March 31.
