Speedy Hire has said it is both "frustrated and disappointed" after confirming its full-year results would be delayed.
The Merseyside-headquartered business is now expected to publish its accounts for the 12 months to March 31, 2022, on Monday, May 30, instead of Tuesday, May 24.
The company said its auditor, KPMG, has "requested additional time" to finalise its audit process and internal review procedures.

A statement issued to the London Stock Exchange said: "Speedy, the UK's leading provider of tools and equipment hire, and services to the construction, infrastructure and industrial markets announces that its final results for the year ended 31 March 2022 will now be reported on 30 May 2022 and not 24 May 2022 as previously stated.
"The company's auditor, KPMG LLP, has today requested additional time to finalise their audit process and internal review procedures.
"KPMG has not raised any issues to management in respect of the accounts or corporate governance processes.
"The company is both frustrated and disappointed with the last minute delay.
"The company continues to expect to report results in line with its expectations on 30 May 2022."
