Fifteen people, several of them teenagers, died when a speeding truck ploughed into a gathering for a Hindu festival in central India on Sunday.
The vehicle ran over devotees gathered for the Navratri festival outside the Sheetla Mata temple in Madhya Pradesh state's Gwalior district in the early hours of Sunday. The heavily loaded truck struck devotees and makeshift roadside shops before crashing into the temple’s entrance gate. The impact reportedly brought down a portion of the temple’s wall.
