Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd has pleaded guilty to violently assaulting his new partner, including attacking her with a set of barbecue tongs, a year after being released from prison.

The 38-year-old pleaded guilty over a prison video link on Tuesday to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and damaging property at Isleworth Crown Court.
