GURGAON: MCG commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja on Monday directed officials to expedite the setting up of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and conversion of old diesel autorickshaws into e-autos.
The directions came in a meeting with senior officials from MCG, the district administration and police to implement the state government’s e-Parivartan project effectively in the city. At present, Gurgaon has three EV charging stations — one at the community centre in Sector 27, another at the Sector 29 fire station and the third at the MCG office in Sector 42. These stations are offering free charging till April 30.
