Special train ride for Queen Mother's birthday

The State Railway of Thailand joins the nation in celebrating Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother's 90th birthday on Friday with a special steam ride to Chachoengsao province.

Tomorrow's train ride leaves Hua Lamphong Station at 7.30am where passengers will be welcomed by a team of tour guides and then arrives at Chachoengsao Station at around 9.50am. Then, participants will be taken to Wat Samarn Rattanaram to pay respect to the world's largest reclining pink Ganesha statue as well as statues of Guanyin, Indra and Brahma.

After lunch, visitors will be taken to Wat Pak Nam Jolo to visit Thailand's only golden chapel and enjoy many other religious activities. The trip concludes at 100-year-old Ban Mai Market at around 2.30pm. The train leaves Chachoengsao Station at around 3.45pm and arrives in Bangkok at 6.10pm.
