Michigan State football has thrown its hat into the race for one of the top safety prospects in the 2025 class.
CJ Jimcoily of Nashville, Tenn. announced on Friday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. He plays for powerhouse Lipscomb Academy and ranks as one of the top 20 safety prospects in the 2025 class.
Jimcoily is listed as the No. 16 safety and No. 260 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 8 player from Tennessee.
Michigan State is the 23rd program to extend Jimcoily an offer, according to 247Sports. Some of the other notable programs to offer Jimcoily are Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami (FL), Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.
