Spanish soccer chief's mother starts hunger strike over kiss furore

NEW DELHI: The mother of Luis Rubiales, who is currently under suspension as the head of Spanish soccer, has taken a unique form of protest. She locked herself inside a church and initiated a hunger strike in opposition to her son's treatment regarding the incident where he kissed player Jenni Hermoso on the lips following the World Cup victory.

Family sources have reported this unconventional act of protest by Rubiales' mother.
