Spain fans celebrate World Cup victory

World Cup Spain Argentina New York Times Square

Spain supporters filled Times Square in New York on Sunday to celebrate their country's 1-0 victory over Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final.

The video shows fans lifting a replica World Cup trophy, waving Spanish flags, chanting and even recreating a bullfight as the crowd celebrates.

Some supporters are thrown into the air while families and fellow football fans share the moment in the heart of Manhattan.

Spain secured its second World Cup title after Ferran Torres scored the only goal early in the second period of extra time.

The strike ended Argentina's reign as world champions following a tightly contested final.
