A home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Kambah was broken into and set ablaze by multiple burglars, police have alleged.
Police officers, firefighters and paramedics were called to the house fire on Paull Place about 9.30pm on Thursday, August 29.
ACT Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire and police said all the residents managed to escape the blaze before emergency services arrived that night.
The home's interiors had been extensively burnt, an ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said no one was injured but the building was visibly damaged.
She said police had been informed about an alleged home invasion by a group of burglars.
"The fire was deliberately lit by one of those people," police have alleged.
ACT Policing are investigating the incident and appealed to the public for further information and witnesses to the house fire in Kambah.
"Police say would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the fire, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area before or during the fire," a spokesperson said.
