Southport Air Show 2022 gets underway today, with a variety of aerobatic display teams performing.
Huge crowds are expected to line the Pier, beach and prom as they watch the likes of the Red Arrows and Army Parachute Team. Gates for the Southport Air Show open at 10am, with a packed lineup performing until 4pm.
There’s also plenty to see and do on the ground today, including mini tanks, bungee trampolines, land zorbs, bumper cars, simulators and a paintball range. There’s also a replica Spitfire and a military village where members of the armed forces will be on hand to show visitors their equipment and answer questions from anyone interested in a similar career.
