South Korea President to Visit Mexico With Mystery K-Pop Group — And Sheinbaum Won't Reveal Who

• South Korean President Lee Jae-myung will travel to Mexico City sometime this month; President Claudia Sheinbaum hasn't locked in an exact date.
• The trip is expected to include the signing of a new five-year cooperation roadmap, the Mexico-Korea Action Plan 2026–2030, built on groundwork laid during Foreign Secretary Roberto Velasco's late-August trip to Seoul.

Mexico City is bracing for a rerun of the scene that unfolded in May, when BTS packed the Zócalo with tens of thousands of fans. On September 3, President Claudia Sheinbaum told reporters at her morning briefing that her South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae-myung, will land in the capital sometime this month. He isn't coming just for trade talks: an idol group is joining the trip, and Sheinbaum isn't saying which one.
