South Dublin man's body lay undiscovered in council home for up to a year

An elderly man's body lay undiscovered in his council-rented home in south Dublin for up to a year.

The body was found in a house on Sallynoggin Road Lower at around 12.25pm last Wednesday.

Sinn Féin representative for Killiney/Shankill, Stefani Howlett, has called for a review of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council's procedures for dealing with tenants they have lost contact with.
