Missing Springbok winger Sbu Nkosi has reportedly been located.
The 26-year-old was reported missing by his club, the Bulls, in Pretoria on the weekend. In a statement, they said that their last contact with the World Cup winner was on November 11 and that they had opened a missing person case with the police six days later.
"Sbu Nkosi has been absent without leave for the past three weeks," read a Bulls statement.
They said they had attempted "phone calls, texts messages, calls to relatives, partner and close friends as well as four house visits to his known place of residence", and the lack of contact led to "grave worry and concern".
But reports in South Africa state that the club are now aware of his current location.
Sowetan Live cite sources close to the club in a report that Nkosi has been located, although the reasons behind Nkosi not reporting for duty are still unknown.
In October, when the franchise went on their United Rugby Championship tour of Ireland, he was sent home from the camp early as he apparently sought permission to visit a friend in Dublin, only to return late, breaking team protocol.
Nkosi has played 16 Tests and was part of the South Africa squad that won the 2019 World Cup. However, a rib injury ruled him out of the recent autumn internationals.
