South Africa head coach Hugo Broos called on his defeated squad to leave the World Cup with a sense of achievement despite losing their first game in the knockout stages to Canada.

Stephen Eustáquio scored in second half stoppage time at the Los Angeles Stadium to send the co hosts into the last-16 for the first time.
