NEW DELHI: Legends of cricket Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting backed India's Rishabh Pant to play in the T20 World Cup in June after returning to the Indian Premier League after a catastrophic car accident.

The crash forced Pant, a wicketkeeper-batsman, to miss 14 months of professional cricket. However, this season, he led the Delhi Capitals in the T20 league.
