On a remote island north of Darwin, the Wurrumiyanga Aboriginal community doesn't want to talk about the voice to parliament - people want to discuss death.

"Why are you here?" Marilyn Kerinaiua said as electoral officers rolled into Bathurst Island for the first day of remote voting on Tuesday.
