Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor is hosting one of her “iconic kitchen disco parties” in Liverpool.
John Lewis Liverpool has announced its Eurovision 2023 lineup as the city gets ready to host the Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine. The Liverpool ONE venue is embracing all things Eurovision by hosting a number of events all next week - Tuesday, 9 to Saturday, May 13.
As part of this, songwriter Sophie, best known for her hit Murder on the Dancefloor, will be hosting on the second semi-final afternoon on Thursday, May 11. Guests can expect to party to some of Sophie’s favourite tracks alongside a fashion show hosted by John Lewis personal stylists.

Elsewhere throughout the week, the store will also welcome performances from past Eurovision entries including the UK’s 2003 Jemini and Ukrainian Junior Eurovision competition finalist Evangelina Zamula.
Jackie Wild, events and marketing coordinator at John Lewis Liverpool, told the ECHO: “We are all so excited here to be part of such an iconic music event. Eurovision fever has already started to sweep across the city and we are ready to welcome the thousands of visitors in-store to John Lewis.
“I personally cannot wait to hear the fabulous music alongside the fun, the fizz and the glitter of Eurovision for Liverpool 2023.”
The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk bus will arrive in the city with its plush pink interiors, light-up mirrors and multiple photo areas. It will be in situ outside John Lewis Liverpool on Thomas Steers Way from Thursday, 11 to Saturday, May 13.
Customers can discover an edit of Charlotte Tilbury’s best-selling Pillow Talk icons, the latest innovations and the full pillow talk collection. Charlotte’s expert retail artists will also be on hand to give customers access to the make-up secrets of the red carpet, with a choice of eye, lip and cheek quick trick touch-up services.
The store will be hosting a local makers' market where local businesses and artists will be showcasing and selling their gifts, designs and souvenirs. Whereas musical performances from local choirs will include the Liverpool Rainbow Chorus Choir and Alder Hey Children’s Choir - all of whom are fundraising for the Big Help Project supporting Liverpool’s Ukrainian community.
In Demand Radio will be broadcasting live from the ground floor and there will also be games with daily ‘Spin the wheel’ competitions where customers can win beauty essentials and vouchers.
